I took the twists done on Day 5. Here are some of my twist out results: I wore it down some and in a ponytail too. It was really defined at first, but I kept playing with it , so I lost some of the definition in spots. Oddly, I actually prefer my twist outs to be on the messy looking side vs just taking the twists a loose and leaving them neat.

Twistout results
I wore my hair in a high bun(twists) for the rest of the week. It is so nice to just get up in the morning and not have to concern myself with any hair manipulation at all! And my hair still feels moisturized, when I grab it, even the ends, it is springy, soft & able to be squished, not crunchy or stiff like it sometimes does by Day 5.

Back to my twists
After a week of free & loose hair, I decided on twists for the week. They are so easy, carefree & offer multi styling options.
After shampooing with Giovanni Tea Tree (my new fav poo):
After shampooing with Giovanni Tea Tree (my new fav poo):
- DC'ed with ORS with heat for 30 minutes.
- BWC leave-in conditioner for a leave in
- Sealed with castor oil
- Applied a generous dab of Aussie Moist conditioner to each twist section prior to twisting
- Placed twists on large rollers to keep hair stretched out
- Air dried in rollers overnight

Possibly More Coils?....
After shampooing my hair, I definitely had more defined coils. Does using the curlygirl.tightlycurl method ensure more hydration & moisture perhaps, which equals more definition....My hair did feel more moisturized, even on Day 6, by which day my regular twistout can normally be leaning towards feeling dry.
These are pictures of my hair after just shampooing with Giovanni Tea Tree (love the fresh feeling!), no conditioner yet:

I will definitely be trying the method again....granted I did do a modified version. Can you tell a difference?

Hair this week - Tightly curly method trial
I decided to DC overnight with my new fav conditioner Aubrey Organics, Island Naturals Replenishing Conditioner, Dry Frizzy. Coconut milk, aloe, shea & jojoba butter, my hair just loves it, it coils & curls with happiness. This smell is nice to me, kind of spicy(allspice is in it); I just enjoy reading the ingredient list and knowing how it is hydrating my hair hmmnnnn!
The next morning I didn't know what to do with my hair yet & I had to make a run....yes with a head full of conditioner. At first it wouldn't do anything reasonable LOL. But I spritzed it really good and it started cooperating, I managed to get it back into a bun and put some gel on the front to smooth it down.
This gave me time to figure out what to do this week...I was really curious if the curlygirl/tightlycurly method would do anything for my 4a/4b hair....so I decided to do a modified version of it to my hair.
After conditioner washing & sectioning into 4 quarters, I took smaller sections and applied Fantasia Frizz Buster Serum, Castor oil & finally a generous amount of Aussie Moist conditioner. Then I ran my Jilbere comb thru the section, then smoothed the curls with my fingers....OK I WAS A BIT AMAZED by the definition! Anyways, I proceeded to do my whole head ILIKEY!!! Here are my results, can you tell a difference?

Naked Hair Pictures
When I check out someones hair pictures, I always want to see how their hair looks without any product or manipulation, just after rinsing out the DC...naked hair!! Few post them, but I just love to see the starting point, otherwise it is hard for me to tell how good a product review actually is, or if it something I am interested in trying for my 4a/4b hair.
So without further ado......

Twists
I had my hair in twists all last week, so I am craving to do something fun to it. Twists are great- low maintenance, versatile styling, looks good, can be easily accessorized.....but afterwhile, I just get bored with them!!! Adding headbands, scarves, crochet flowers & hair bling helps....
